Headteacher’s Welcome

I am very proud to be Headteacher of Waddington All Saints Academy. I have been in post since January 2007 and during that time, I have been privileged to work with a talented, caring and committed team of staff and governors. Supporting children to develop a strong and lasting love of the challenges and fun of learning has always been my passion. Over the years, I have engaged in a relentless drive to secure this through the school’s provision of excellent learning experiences that enable children to achieve high standards and produce outcomes of quality.

We have a friendly, caring school with high expectations and ambition for all our pupils. Our children are encouraged to explore, discover and question through a range of exciting learning opportunities, both within and outside the classroom. We have a school where children speak with confidence and enthusiasm about their learning and work hard to improve and make progress. We are lucky because each and every day we get opportunity to share in the achievements, successes and enthusiasm of the children that we work with.

The excellent start begins in Foundation Stage and the broad and stimulating learning experience is sustained year on year. The curriculum is delivered to a high standard and children are given the skills and knowledge that they need to be successful. The standard of teaching and learning is extremely high and the behaviour of pupils is exemplary.

The school was last inspected by Ofsted in October 2014, when we were judged to be ‘outstanding’ in all the key areas of inspection, and in our overall effectiveness of provision.

Inspectors commented, ‘The curriculum provides an enormously rich range of experiences and it is continually being improved to make learning even more, as the school puts it, ‘irresistible’ for All Saints pupils.’ They also said ‘The exceptionally effective leadership of the headteacher, very well supported by the governors and all staff, has brought about continued improvement in pupils’ achievement and the quality of teaching. Pupils’ consistently achieve high standards. All groups of pupils make at least good and usually outstanding progress in English and mathematics.’

We are very proud our achievements, but we are never complacent and always strive to find ways to improve, adapt to changes and sustain the things that we do well.

Thank you for your interest in our school. We look forward to welcoming you to our school, and to a happy and successful partnership with all our new children and families.
