The principles and recommendations set out in the EYFS Statutory Framework and The Writing Framework: Writing in Reception have helped to shape our approach to teaching early writing. These documents ensure that our curriculum is rooted in statutory requirements and evidence-informed practice, enabling children to develop a secure foundation in transcription, composition, language development and a love of writing from the very beginning of their school journey.
