Continuous Provision

Continuous provision refers to all of the different learning areas and resources that are consistently available for children to access every day.

Within each area, there is a core set of carefully chosen resources that remain available over time, allowing children to return, revisit and deepen their learning through play.
At Waddington All Saints, these environments are carefully designed with clearly defined indoor and outdoor spaces that support and extend children’s development. Each area is enhanced with purposeful, high-quality resources, thoughtfully planned to promote playing and exploring, active learning, and creating and thinking critically.

Continuous Provision Policies

Our continuous provision policies clearly outline the key learning opportunities within each area of the classroom and outdoor environment. They detail the essential resources required to support high-quality provision, alongside the intended learning experiences that promote progression. In addition, they provide clear guidance on the organisation of each area, ensuring that spaces are purposeful, well-structured and enable children to access, explore and apply their learning independently.
