When considering behaviour our primary aim is to provide children with a highly motivational and inspirational learning experience that results in children choosing to learn rather than choosing to misbehave. Therefore we have very high expectations in relation to behaviour. These are based upon the principle that pupils should be respected, guided and made to reflect upon and be accountable for their behaviour choices.
Within each class there are high expectations which are designed to make the classroom a polite and orderly environment conducive to learning. They are enforced to ensure that we are able to provide a safe and pleasant environment in which to learn and work. On those rare occasions where behaviour falls below the standard that is expected we have a range of sanctions that give the children time to consider the choices that they have made and then support them to make better choices.
