We work hard to raise money to support our school in various projects and events. The money we raise at our events helps to enhance and enrich your child’s education.
The Summer Fayre 2007 raised an amazing £1500, especially as it was held over the wettest weekend in July! So many people turned up to support the school and the children, what an achievement. We were treated to great gymnastic and dancing displays, and we even ventured outside when the rain stopped!
The disco in November raised £200 and was closely followed by the Christmas Fayre. Again we were thrilled to have such a great turnout, even Santa Claus popped in! This year the event raised £1900, with the children proudly selling their handmade products. The muffins in Key Stage One were a huge success! Thanks again to everyone who came and made it such a super night.
We have been able to fund many projects in school, ranging from books for the library to the 12 foot Christmas tree you will have seen at the Christmas Fayre. Money has also been donated to clubs in the school, the Athletics Club was able to buy new equipment, which is currently being used by over 50 pupils on a weekly basis. The Science club received monies to fund their inclusion in the CREST Science scheme, something which all the children have enjoyed.
We continue to celebrate our Healthy School status by donating money to the Gardening club, allowing them to purchase a shed, wheelbarrows, a water butt and lots of new tools. The children also benefited from watching true recycling in action. A man who models reclaimed logs into mushroom shaped seats demonstrated his skills last year.
We continue to raise funds to support our school. We hope to see you at our next event . . .
The PTA has been working hard to improve the outdoor environment of our school. We are hoping that you will help us to continue this work by using 'The Giving Machine' website when purchasing items online.
It really is very simple:
Log on to TheGivingMachine.co.uk and register, naming our school as your chosen charity. If you put Waddington into the keywords box and choose charities NOT schools you will see our PTA. Once you have saved this choice you are ready to begin!
- After opening TheGivingMachine.co.uk click on SHOP.
- Choose the website you are going to use to make a purchase.
- Checkout from your website (e.g. amazon) as normal.
- Money will be donated to school at no extra cost to you.
You can access a huge variety of websites including Tesco, Asda, Amazon, Ticketmaster and The Train Line.
We hope you have time to look, it really is easy and your PTA and in turn your children will benefit.
